Session 9: Digital collage

In this session, I used the visual work that I had done in the illustration session as a guide for my digital editing. In the illustration session, I was able to the collage idea but it was difficult to do it in combination with the drawings.
In this session, the illustration above was first created. The aim was to construct an illustration that could not be expressed by handwriting, applying the skills learned in the Adobe class. The photos could also be used together as a collage to create a more creative format.

In this illustration, the actual printed photographs were cut and randomly placed, and manually created in a way that would be difficult to do digitally. The visuals looked like an old TV screen when they were cut and arranged, so I added colour to the blank spaces to create the effect. Furthermore, by editing the images with the app, we were able to express a more analogue feel.
This session helped me to find my weaknesses. That is to combine photography and drawing to create a work of art. However, I would like to practice this skill as it will allow me to come up with more ideas and concepts in the future.
